         SERVICE CHANGES WERE IMPLEMENTED ON MONDAY, MAY 17, 2010

The Valley Regional Transit (VRT) Board of Directors approved changes to the ValleyRide bus service system at its March 17 meeting. VRT staff have made the final adjustments to some of the route timings and run schedules. The only intercounty route to be affected by the changees is the #42 Nampa/Meridian Limited Stop. The final service change guide, including maps and schedule changes, have been posted on the SERVICE MODIFICATIONS PAGE.


INTERCOUNTY BUS SERVICES

ValleyRide operates five intercounty routes that provide service between Ada and Canyon counties (to the cities of Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, Middleton, Star, Eagle and Boise). Information about each route is listed below.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ROUTES OPERATE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

ValleyRide bus services does not operate on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

 #40 NAMPA/MERIDIAN EXPRESS - This peak express service originates at the Karcher Mall. This facility provides connections to Caldwell from the express system when the Caldwell express, Route 43, is not in service. Service turns north on Nampa Blvd and east on I-84, exiting only to serve the College of Western Idaho Nampa Campus and Gold's Gym Park & Ride (P&R) in Meridian. Service runs every 30 minutes for two hours in the peak direction on each peak, and for one hour (two trips) in the reverse-peak direction.

#42 NAMPA/MERIDIAN LIMITED STOP - This two-way service runs every 60 minutes during peak hours and every 3 hours (two round trips) during the midday.The service is identical to the #40 beginning in Nampa up to the College of Western Idaho Nampa Campus. From there, the route exits Interstate 84 at Meridian Road, heads north, and services the Meridian Business Park, the Idaho State University campus and the Meridian School District office. From there, its goes to Franklin Road and then Eagle Road, where it serves St. Luke's Meridian. It continues south to Overland Road, serving Silverstone, the Social Security office (from Maple Grove Road) and the Towne Square Mall. From the Mall, it continues into downtown Boise via I-184. Service is two-way at all times.

#43 CALDWELL EXPRESS - A single express trip operates in each direction from Caldwell to Boise. At other times, the same trip can be completed by connecting at Karcher Mall.

ROUTE 44 EXPRESS -
A single express trip operates in each direction from Caldwell to Boise. Serves the cities of Middleton, Star and Eagle.

ROUTE 45 EXPRESS - This service provides six round-trip bus runs between the College of Western Idaho Nampa Campus and Boise State University.
