RIDESHARE TO BOGUS BASIN SERVICE IS BACK!
Valley Regional Transit has relaunched its carpool program to the Bogus Basin Recreation Area. Beyond the benefits of fewer cars on Bogus Basin Road and less air pollution, carpooling to Bogus can free up more parking space at the ski resort and it might be a way to meet new people.

TRIP PLANNER DOWN
The trip planner is currently unavailable. We are in the process of implementing a new data input tool to make sure that the information presented on Google Transit is accurate. boise city smoke-free air ordinance
The city ordinance, which went into effect Jan. 2, 2012, prohibits smoking in waiting area of public transportation facilities and the Boise Towne Square Mall transit center and Downtown Boise Transit Mall. READ MORE ABOUT THE ORDINANCE.
ROUTE 4 TO BE ON DETOUR
Route 4 Roosevelt is expected to have a detour between February 6 and March 15 due to construction work. The outbound bus will bypass Latah and make a left on Roosevelt and a left on Alpine and then a right on Latah back on route. The inbound will turn left at Alpine from latah, turn right on Roosevelt and right on Emerald back on route. Temporary stops will be in place at Emerald and Roosevelt (outbound) and Alpine and Latah (inbound).
VRT offices have moved
The Valley Regional Transit administrative offices in Meridian, Idaho, have moved. The new address is: 700 N. East 2nd Street, Meridian, ID 83642.
GORIDE SERVICES
Valley Regional Transit has developed or is developing alternative transportation options under the goride volunteer transportation program to help accommodate mobility needs the ValleyRide bus system cannot fulfill. We are planning to update this website and set up a new website that would provide information about all alternative public transportation services that are available in the Treasure Valley. ROUTE 3 NEWS
The inbound Route 3 Vista is unable to stop at the Capital and Caesar Chavez bus stop due to construction. The bus will continue to pick up and drop off passengers at the Vista and Rose Hill stop.
NEW SERVICE IN CALDWELL
The Route 55 Franklin/Smeed pilot project provides service to an area north of Interstate 84 that includes the local offices of the Department of Health and Welfare, the Veterans Administration and the Department of Labor. Learn more about this pilot project.
DOWNTOWN shelter art
The Boise City Dept. of Arts and History has done a great job of having artwork placed on downtown Boise bus shelters and traffic boxes. READ MORE about this project.
Route 1
The bus stop located at University and Cesar Chavez will be closed indefinitely due to construction work in the area. Please use the bus stop at University and Brady or University and Capitol.
